I was really into the indie band Slowburn back in the 90’s. After their self-titled album came out I heard they were working on new material, but then they disappeared. Do you know if the members are in other bands or what became of these guys?

Alan answers:

I’m assuming that you’re talking about the Vancouver band named Slowburn (there were several groups sharing that name at the time) who adopted that name when they realized that their original name, Catherine Wheel, had already been taken. After having an alt-rock hit with a song called “Whatever” in 1996, they broke up towards the end of the decade with guitarist Charles Boname ending up becoming an IT administrator working for Legal Services Society. The whereabouts of the other members are unknown.
