Alan Answers: The Flock were a septet that came out of 1960’s Chicago, right around the same time the Chicago Transit Authority (aka just plain ol’ “Chicago”) were getting started. Both veered towards an art-rock sound with longer songs, too. But while Chicago focused on their horns, the Flock’s music tended to revolve around the sound of their virtuoso violinist Jerry Goodman.
